Malcolm Holcombe and Jared Tyler stayed at Abbeydene House while playing Belfast and Comber on their European tour in May 2016. Hailing from the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina, Malcolm and Jared are legends in the world of Americana music.

Visit of Daniel and Majella O’Donnell

Daniel O’ Donnell and his lovely wife,Majella,stayed overnight at Abbeydene when they were filming for their B&B Road Show in July 2015. Abbeydene was one of only twelve lucky B&B’s in the whole of Ireland chosen for this programme to be shown on UTV in October/November 2015. See the video of Daniel and Majella on U-tube.

Jack Rabbit Slim – again

The new line-up of Jack Rabbit Slim featuring Bob(on vocals/guitar – the only original member), Paul(lead guitar), Nico(Double Bass) and Tony(drums).They played the Rock’n’roll Club in May 2015.

The visit of Scott H. Biram

Scott H. Biram(from Austin,Texas) and his entourage stayed at Abbeydene House when he was touring Ireland and Europe in April 2015. Pictured in the photo are: Matt (the sound guy),Julien (the French road manager) and Scott with his girlfriend CJ (Courtney).

The Welsh Rock ‘n’ roll / Rockabilly band,the Killer Dillers and their alter ego,Livestock Davies and the Low Down Snakes, stayed at Abbeydene House when they played at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Club at Madisons Hotel in Jan 2013.

Visit of T.V. Jones and the Tomahawks

The Rockabilly / Rock’n’ Roll band, T.V Jones and the Tomahawks, stayed at Abbeydene House when they played at The Rock ‘n’ Roll Club in September 2012 and again in February 2015. (The “T.V. Jones” is a kind of Rockabilly guitar pick-up).

Visit of the Dirt Daubers

The Kentucky based hillbilly band,the Dirt Daubers(named after a stingless wasp which builds it’s nest from mud),stayed at Abbeydene when they played at Comber as part of their three week European tour in July 2012. You can click here to see JD playing his banjo on the balcony at Abbeydene House.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll band, Hot Foot Powder, stayed at Abbeydene House when they played at Clandeboye Lodge Hotel in Bangor in August 2011.

The Surrey based Rock and Roll band – the King Cats stayed at Abbeydene House when they gigged at Madison’s in July 2011.

The Rockabilly Superstars, The Jets, stayed at Abbeydene House when they toured Ireland in March 2011.

Visit of Michael “Menace” Weeden….

Menace, a New York record producer and singer, stayed at Abbeydene House for two months in 2009 while he produced Linnea’s new album.

The Rhythm Aces, a U.K. Rockabilly and Rock ‘n’ Roll Band, stayed at Abbeydene House when they played at the Red Hot Rockabilly Club Belfast in 2010.

Visit of Roger Dean and his band

Roger Dean, a superb Johnny Cash tribute artist, stayed at Abbeydene House with his band when he played at the Theatre at the Mill in 2010.

Visit of Phil Guy

Phil Guy,celebrated U.S. Blues guitarist and brother of the famous Buddy Guy, stayed at Abbeydene House when he toured Ireland in August 2007. Sadly Phil died of pancreatic cancer in August 2008 – a great loss.
